Eyebrow Routine

Eyebrows. We wax them, sugar them, tint them, ombré powder them, fill them in, laminate them, and so much more. Some time ago, I noticed my brows were thinning so I had them ombré powdered in 2018. I absolutely loved the results and continue to enjoy them to this day.

I’m not going to get into the details of what ombré powdering is in this post. But if you want more info on them and my experience (with before and after pictures), I did a post all about them here.

This post is about my usual eyebrow routine and how I like to use tint to enhance their natural color. My brows are already a dark brown, but they can start to look dull and a little faded as time goes on. Using tint just makes them pop and appear rich and juicy!

What is eyebrow tinting?

The process of applying dye (developer + color) to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. Eyebrow tint allows the brows to look thicker, bolder, and more defined.

How long does it last?

Usually about 4-6 weeks.

What colors does tint come in?

A variety! Blonde, light brown, natural brown, black, blue/black, red, chestnut, graphite, and more. Colors can also be mixed to create custom shades. Ohhh the options!

Where can I get tint done?

Beauty professionals can tint your eyebrows for you (price will vary). Some people opt to buy at-home kits online to tint at home. If you’re tinting at home be sure to read the instructions and follow the steps. This is where you’ll get the measurements for the specific brand you’re using.

Here is my process of applying tint. I use multiple brands, but in this video I am using Refectocil’s developer and Natural Brown No. 3.

  1.  Wax/tweeze/trimming
  2. Mix developer + natural brown tint
  3. Apply
  4. Clean up any excess tint outside of the eyebrows
  5. Process for 20-30 minutes
  6. Remove with a damp wipe

Voila! It’s like my brows had a little spa day =).

Have you ever had your eyebrows tinted? If not, would you try it?
